Hey guys,

I started cold approaching around 3 weeks ago. I've made less than 10 approaches, I know it may be too early to start bitching, but I'm having trouble staying motivated. I know the odds are against you ..and that may be why I've been becoming less excited to make approaches. It feels like I'm over here working hard to get in state and create a positive frame, when the girl will have an excuse to not exchange numbers anyway.

Approaching takes a lot of effort for me, I really need to hype myself up for it. When I know I'm not going to have much success, I begin weighing the pros and cons of approaching. I know I have nothing to lose, but sometimes I feel like I don't have much to gain either.

My very first approach resulted in me adding the girl on FB and talking to her for a while. I was really happy with that result but have yet to replicate it. I haven't approached many women, but most have respectfully declined my advances. I know I still have a lot to learn and I'm going to suck in the beginning. I don't expect much of an outcome, but I'm having trouble getting motivated when I know I'm not going to get a number anyway. I'm trying to focus on the process and stop focusing on the outcome, but it seems so far-fetched that I'll get any success anytime soon.

That being said ..by no way am I ready to give up. I'm here hoping you guys could help me out. How did it go for you in the beginning? Have you gotten much better? I'd really like to know how you overcame the initial "I'm not super good at this" phase. I think it can help me manage my expectations.

Thanks for reading.
