Treat a fwb as a friend that you occasionally hook up with. My last FWB I had, we'd meet up at a bar, grab a few drinks, and end up having sex somewhere later that night. I wasn't taking her on dates or anything. I got back in touch with her after months of us not hooking up. She invited me to hang out somewhere. I responded with, "We're probably gonna end up banging by the end of the night, huh?" Her response was, "Yeah, probably." Everything is very casual with a FWB.

If you can't call them up and specifically say let's have sex then they aren't your fwb

Guy with FWB for 7 months here. Personally, it depends on the person. In my case, I like treating her like a special friend, but nothing romantic. I believe you need to acknowledge that you're more than friends, but not anything serious. Sometimes I'll get food and we both cook it. That way it isn't just "Netflix and chill" all the time.

IMO you can take them places if you like to have them around as a friend too, just always be honest and tell her up front "I'm not looking for anything serious." unless you're someone who doesn't care about their feelings. on the other hand if you want them only as a bootie call then only ever invite them over to watch a movie.
