Hey fellow redpillers!

I talked to a former MMA guy at the gym, and we got into the subject on how other people react when someone is being attacked (or someone is strongly threatening someone else). He had been robbed and stabbed in a pretty public place (small but confident guy) and no one reacted, they even pretended they didn't see it.

I guess this is due to the crowd mentality and trying to avoid injury to yourself. But when I think about reacting this way, it feels wrong. I haven't had a problem with people wanting to confront me, after I gained size in the gym - but I've seen people being physically threatened where I didn't know how to react. I've diffused some fights between people just being stupid, but never seen someone really being attacked.

This is a touchy subject, because if you do something you put yourself at risk (the attacker could have a weapon, friends, be on drugs or trained at fighting) but on the other hand it's strongly against your sense of justice.

So, what are your rules for intervening, when other people are attacking someone - or being physically threatening someone?
