The couple of times I've had a FWB thing going on, we didn't really discuss it much. We would pretty much just hangout normally and sometimes we would hookup sometimes we wouldn't. If I texted her at night asking if she was busy and she wasn't we would hangout, basically hooking up.

Definitely don't ask, you just have to go for it, youve hooked up before so won't be rejected. Just be aware that with most girls feeling will develop, especially as you're already friends. FWB works best with people you dont particularly like personality wise, but find attractive.

I had a great FWB for years. Great sex...not an ounce of drama.

We never actually discussed the situation until I was moving away. I'm glad we did...and I wished we'd talked about it sooner.

The reason is that there was always a little bit of awkwardness...because neither of us had acknowledged what we were looking for. It also didn't allow me to just relax into it the way I could. I always felt like there was this fake component to it...as if trying to make it look like something it wasn't.

I also would worry about her expectations...and if she understood mine, etc.

Also...I've spoken to a female friend about this. She commented on the fact that women actually prefer that a man be up front about wanting an FWB.

They find it attractive when a man is confident in knowing what he wants and being bold enough to be up front about it. It also makes them feel more comfortable in knowing the deal...so to speak.

And comfort is a major component in seduction and having great sex.

You're intentions have already been made clear. If you're feeling uncertainty in any way...just bring it up.

One last thing...you don't ASK her. You TELL her.

Then let her decide if she wants to join you in a FWB arrangement.

I'm not sure you really need to ask at this point. You've already hooked up a few times. Perhaps the next time you two are sober, ask her if she wants to make out. There really isn't anything more to a FWB situation than this. It doesn't require some grand declaration... just the willingness of two friends to get down and dirty.
