So yesterday I was chilling at the airport, waiting for my flight. Around 45 minutes before boarding time, this stunning girl sat right across from me. She was wearing a shirt for my college, which meant that we went to the same school. I wanted to talk to her, but then talked myself out of it because I thought I'd be creepy.
For a while, I sat there, playing on my phone, trying to act like I didn't notice her. I was also thinking of ways to start talking to her. Meanwhile, she also played on her phone, but would gaze upwards in my direction pretty occasionally. She looked bored as fuck, just like I was. The minutes went by, and I was still locked in my seat, trying to "play it cool" for this girl.
Finally, as we were about to board, I went up to her and sat next to her. All the anxiety that had been building up in me for the past 45 minutes was an all-time high, so I sort of stammered over my words when I first started talking to her. She was very friendly though, and didn't make it seem awkward at all. Our conversation was interrupted when she had to get in line to board, as she was one of the first on the list.
I was super pissed at myself for letting this opportunity go. I had a whole fucking 45 minutes to talk to this chick, and just sat there stupidly instead. Not to mention, she was bored and probably wanted me to talk to her as well. I told myself, never am I EVER hesitating like that again. When I got on the plane, I saw an open seat next to a different cute girl. Without even thinking, I sat next to her, said "hi", and we talked for a while during the flight.
I'm still pissed about being a total puss with the first girl. Instead of acting right away, I hesitated with her, which made me way more anxious than if I had just went and sat next to her right away. At least in the end, I kind of redeemed myself by not hesitating with the second girl. Whenever I feel like I'm going to hesitate from talking to a girl, I'm going to remember yesterday.
