First of all why are you asking her for permission to talk to her? Second you should be fine, just smile at her if you two happened to walk by each other.

Was this literally the entire interaction? Does she even know what she wasn't interested in? She may have thought you were going to talk to her about our lord and savoir jesus christ.

To my understanding parking lots are not women's favorite places to be approached.

I think if you got real, warmed her up at the counter, didn't ask permission for anything and then asked her out you'd have a real chance. That interaction was absurd, you could possibly even use it as an opener... "sorry I startled you in the parking lot, I was really wanting to ask if you knew about our lord and savoir jesus christ. omg I'm just kidding I wanted to ask you out."

^ actually you shouldn't start off with something that reminds her of when she "rejected" you. Just know that the interaction was actually laughable and now make a real / good attempt.

If you're having to evade parts of your life that you enjoy because you're ashamed for being rejected, you're doing it wrong.

Just talk to her, go to the library, act like you're unphased "I have girls coming out of my ears and I chose to ask you on a date, you're not intersted, oh well.. my world is fantastic, unlucky"

Honestly dont read into it. Librarians get hit on a lot, and get tired of it. The one I worked at had a " no flirting with patrons" rule anyways. Just go about your business and forget about her =)

I am not sure how libraries are outside of Texas, but they are usually in open areas similar to Walmart. I suppose that you approached her at night time to warrant a reaction like that?

Anyways, don't be a people pleaser in that regard of not going to that library. She's dead to you, move on.

Forget it. You have nothing to worry about. Yeah it was kinda creepy stalky but any attractive woman has lots of experience rejecting advances. She is a professional and I am sure you will have no problem going back to that library.
