Yeah, the first thing you should do, buddy, is disregard all these unhealthy and even mentally damaging suggestions in the comments.

This is all I see on this sub and it pisses me off to no end: "Go outside, be yourself, get a hobby, do some self improvement, yadda yadda yadda".

These are the MOST DESTRUCTIVE THINGS you could possibly do in your situation. Are they bad ideas for a lot of people who have normal functional lives? Hell no. They are great ideas for those people. But not for you, and not for the majority of people on here.

Most advice on here doesn't work because it's designed for people who have nothing to do with the people seeking help on here.

First and foremost, stop wallowing in your pity and understand that you are living a very unhealthy, very abnormal, very mentally scarring life. That is step number one. Step number two is to find out what is wrong with you (depression, anxiety, autism, etc.) and get on a treatment plan as soon as possible.

After you do all that and give it some time to start kicking in (whether it's meds, shrinks, groups, etc.) THEN start to think about what you want to do in your life.

Also, FYI, the hobby tips that crop up 90% of the time are absolutely useless when it comes to pick up. It's true that if you have hobbies you will be exposed to more chicks, but the problem in the first place was you don't know how to approach chicks, so it's bad advice.

Go talk to people on the street and start socializing.

You've done nothing you can't fix or improve upon, trust me. Start looking for activities you like, hopefully social, you're bound to start meeting people there with similar interest, once you start you can take it from there

Get out and do stuff. Strike up random conversations with no expectations. Just comment on something relevant.

Start developing hobbies. Running, lifting, climbing, biking. Be consistent, make progress.

Quit spending time on social media, the tv, your computer. Go do things to occupy your time.

Again, start working towards goals of yours and work toward them every single day.

Contact old friends, people you lost contact with, ask to meet up.

Get fit. You have to work on yourself first. women do this all the time, they get depressed so they blow a bunch of cash on a hairdo, nails, facial, massage and clothes. Sounds silly but they feel better and look better and it improves the self-esteem. Buy a Cosmopolitan magazine, look at the "cute guys" section, dress like them.

Get around some people. Find a group of people who gather for a reason, to do a thing. Some suggestions.

Social dance scenes. Salsa, Argentine tango, West coast swing, Lindy hop, etc.
Hash runs. Look up hash house harriers + the name of the city you live in.
