I had decided to try out some new subs here on Reddit and stumbled across r/OffMyChest. Apparently some opinion I had there regarding the heinousness of false rape allegations wasn't taken so well by the mods, and I got banned and my posts removed. I can see the posts, but if I logout, the posts aren't even there. It's literally as if they never happened. Oh well, not my problem if they can't take civil discussion.

Anyways, this leads into how I stumbled across /r/TheRedPill, as the Mod visible in the room seemed to have a bit of a hate-on for this sub, demanding that one of the users break their link when mentioning ya'll. So I'll be straight-up, my purpose for my presence here is two-fold. I want to see why folks seem to have such a hate-on for this sub (i.e. Is it warranted like SRS, or is it mostly just circlejerk like the hate-on for /r/atheism?), and I'm admittedly still curious about the various different communities I may stumble across here on Reddit. (I'm still getting my feel for the site and trying to find my niches. If I come across ignorant of the site culture or inept, please bear with me, I'm a fast learner.) So I guess this qualifies as my first post on a TRP-related sub. Let's see what ya'll are about. :-)

As a side note, considering the banning on /r/OffMyChest came completely out of the blue, anyone that knows what's going on with that sub and their mods, additional info would be appreciated. I got completely blindsided by it, and I don't even see where what I said could be a bannable offense, much less a warnable one. Just a personal request on my part, feel free to ignore it if you don;t care to get involved.
