Some time ago i started reading "No more mr. nice guy", and one of the key characteristics of a "Nice Guy" the author made "discontent with being who you are".

But one of the point of TRP(as i understand it at the moment) is self-improvement and holding frame(which are the opposite of being content with who you are, one on the internal level(how you see yourself) and the other on external(how others see you). Should i not be thinking about this "contradiction" until i read the book to the end because it will be explained, or is there something i am already missing?

Edit:Typos.
