I am in a relationship at the minute that I've been in for 6 months. I have a few friends but I'd like to be more social. I have a decent career and plenty of colleagues I like.
I have some hobbies, but nothing I've committed to. I have some plans for the future (building my own software) and have made progress - and will continue to push forward with that next year.
I am seeing a therapist about anxiety and residue of depression. I have tried lots of things over the last year (rock climbng, salsa, fencing, martial arts, etc). I've just bought a motorbike and have been learning tonnes about that - love every moment on my bike.
but it seems no matter what I do with my life I still don't feel good enough for women or the world in general, and I feel lonely even though I'm in a relationship. I can't let someone close to me because I assume no woman can be trusted long-term. I constantly imagine my girlfriend being railed by better men. I have tortured myself so much with these images that I've started to resent her for something she hasn't done, but I assume she will.
I eventually want a long-term companion and a family, and I know what my mission is - though making those steps is difficult. I just feel completely helpless to it all at the minute. I feel like I cannot function in a relationship.
Has anybody found themselves in a similar hole and managed to climb out? How?
