That's social conditioning at work. Everyone (men especially) from a young age are made fun of & told not to do certain things which can stick with you & really make things difficult when you're older when it comes to "game". Think about it, when you were younger I bet you liked a girl & was made fun of, your friends laughed at you, which then made you not want to talk to girls to a certain extent & not be fully open about your sexuality. But everyone on this sub Reddit knows that's bullshit & talking to women (or anyone) is NOT weird & actually completely normal. The same goes for approaching women you like. Why wouldn't you do that? At the end of the day it's a mixture of social conditioning that's holding you back & your own entitlement. You feel as if your not worthy of talking to beautiful women. You are a straight male who likes sex & that's nothing to be ashamed about. Focus on building building self esteem, a positive mindset, confidence & entitlement.That should make things much easier for you & like you said, it's just the beginning & a long but rewarding process.
