I wonder how long it will take for the institution of marriage to not be deemed as "inevitable" but something that only interested parties chose to do. In a lot of other cultures, there are formal structures for ensuring that young people are paired and are married (e.g. arranged marriage). Even in the US, a lot of really young people get married just because that's supposed to be the "next step" in their life.

First and foremost the title is a bit misleading in this article and used to stir people up and get them to read it, because the data proves it wrong otherwise.

In all but 1 of these statistics does the odds favor men, which means women statistically have been proven to have the advantage in the dating world, at least in the U.S.

The lowest statistic on this article was 123 "marriageable" men to 100 women. If I did the math right this means that 19% of American "marriageable" men won't even have a chance to marry a woman just because the odds are stacked against them, even at the lowest probability.

Scary thought for those who don't know pickup.
