Morning Joe is a regular program on MSNBC normally hosted by Joe Scarborough and the other Hosts seen in the viral video. The idea that they would willingly participate in making themselves look like morons seems unlikely.

If you don't like Russel just say so; there is no need to fabricate narratives to suit your end.

Ok, I may be off topic a bit - but if this is the russel brand video with those news anchors (ie "don't refer to me as 'he' when I'm right here!" etc) - what principles of this relate to seduction anyway? Is it just he takes charge of the situation or something?

I completely understand where your coming from. We don't want seddit to become a hub where all people do is post meme's & youtube videos;

However I'm going to say that the moment I watched it this morning, the first thing I thought of was "seddit will appreciate this!"

I can see I wasn't alone in thinking that. I understand where your coming from, however:

a.) If it was a publicity stunt, it was one completely engineered by him. The anchors were not in on it.

b.) Again I understand your intentions. Honestly I do. However several participants in this subreddit thought it would be useful.

c.) I too am not a necessary fan of Russel Brand, and I hate the fact I'm leaping to his defence; but he is an ex addict.

d.) Ray Kurzweil, famed inventor and slightly wacko futurist is also into transcendental meditation. Should I ignore his contributions to artificial intelligence because he may be a sociopath?

I think that even though you have a point, the very fact that several people have tried to post the video shows how relevant to the community the video is whether you personally like it or not

Brand says he learned much about seduction from Neil Strauss.

He's infamous with his skill with women and seduction.

If you don't think he's using tactics like dominance, frame control, flipping the script, sexualizing the conversation, and so on, you watched a different video than I did.

Also, if you know anything about Mika B., the blonde in the interview, you'd know that most of the time she's somewhat humorless and harpyish (though she will get girly here and there). She's also been involved with interviews with some of the most powerful and influential men in politics (her dad is one). Watching him turn her into stuttering, wet mush is a lesson lots of guys should see.

Not sure I agree with mod's position here.

All the people in this video are actors (including the interviewers) and they are performing for the camera.

If you think the interviewers reactions were scripted or rehearsed, you seriously are incredibly bad at reading body language.

Do you have any proof that this is a publicity stunt, because that's not the way the video looks to me. If so than post, if not than what makes you say that? Because to me it looks like he was getting picked on and stood up for himself.

If you think there are no lessons to be learned from watching Brand maintain his frame and completely steer the conversation against 3 trained professional interviewers, who are hostile towards him, you have not fully internalized what seduction can be.

You are correct, there are no overt lessons. He never says, "to get women to want you you should do x." This is a masters' class. He is instructing by example.

There is no way this is staged. Why would a (respected) news anchor agree to be humiliated on live TV?

Wow. Not only does the moderator censor what arguably has seddit material in it, he deletes posts that make valid points against his decision. There's moderating and then there's censoring. I went to reply to such a post and found it deleted. Bad moderator is bad.

Russel is a brilliant improv comedian and if you watch any of his interviews you would know that this is real and very much him and not pre-scripted, written idea. Ofcourse the news anchors play along and they make it fun and playful. If we cannot post videos like this particular one youre dooming the community to an intelligence plateau of fifteen.

Tyler from RSD just recommended this video on his latest blog post. He gives a very brief breakdown on why. I think it would be more beneficial if videos like that were posted with a analysis of how it was relevant and what things we should take away from them (how they can apply to seduction/game and what we can learn from them)

I disagree. I think it's an exceptional example of all the things the moderator says it is not. And they are only actors in the sense that all tv personality types are. There are not a lot of clear, mainstream examples of some of the principals discussed here in action. I don't even like the guy and I was impressed.

I totally agree with this move and I'm really impressed with the mods and how they handled this situation. They have views and know what this community is/should be about and they stick to it. Thanks for keeping us on the right path - even if that video was quite interesting.

Other comedians dislike him. He's a bit of an ass, and not funny. He also has exceptionally good looks. He acts with a pretense of social insurrection, he acts as if he's legitimately participating and succeeding socially, he acts as if he's socially challenging, he acts as if he's intelligent, specifically socially intelligent, but he's often not, he's often a bit of an ass. Many of his interactions seem forced.

He's also an entertainer, and as we should all have realized, entertainers get more pussy than virtually anyone. I've heard that, at the end of one of his shows, he told girls to line up and that he would decide which one(s) he wanted to have sex with, and girls actually did it. If you've lived with that kind of access to pussy, you'd probably have quite a bit of confidence, too.

I've known people who acted the way he does. It's hard to describe that type of person, but I think it is a type. They're not necessarily "alpha", but they're usually annoying.
