Met her online and we texted back in forth a lot over about a week until the date. We had coffee at nice supermarket cafe where could have some privacy. The discussion seemed to go well, of course I would think that but I guess I should've known something was up because I seemed to be steering the conversation most of the time. But I really felt like the date went well and I didn't really pressure into making a second date because I felt I could ask her in a few days.

So afterwards I texted saying I had a good time and I hope she did and that I'd like to hang out again. After each hour she didn't respond, my concern grew more and more. Then she finally texted me back and said she had a good time but that she didn't feel our personalities were a match. She said in her profile that she had a Type A personality. I've read what that is and she didn't seem to fit that type from taking to her. And I thought it was bullshit that she figured this out after one conversation.

I feel like there was another reason. Not good looking enough, not cocky enough, whatever. But yeah I don't know if fall into a Type A personality but I don't think you can lump someone into some category just because they seem to fit it. People are a little more complex than that and can change based on the situations they face. I guess I'm just more pissed off that he feels like she was saying was too shy and weak mentally for her. (On a side note: I don't someone who's a real Type A would even say that. Like someone who's a real badass, doesn't have to tell anyone they're a badass. They know it and don't need to prove anything to anyone.)

I feel this has happened before with other girls although I haven't been dating in a while. Now I feel like I have to stop dating and build myself up into someone that everyone will recognize as a Type A and someone who doesn't feel so hurt when they're rejected. I have a lot of uncertainty and regret about my past. Some of things that happened to me, I couldn't control and some I could. Maybe I'm damaged goods but I can't accept that is the way things are going stay obviously and I'm not going to settle for anything less than happiness. Guess I'm just venting here but if anyone was or is in a similar position and got through it. I'd appreciate any insights or tips. Thanks in advance.
