It's important to be careful when comparing ratios and percentages though. They are often misleading. If only 1 man was sexually assaulted, and he was 6, then that would show as a 100% chance that men get assaulted in childhood. Whereas if 1000 women get assaulted but only 200 of them were young then that's 20%. Here's a quote from the study that illustrates that point better.

"Regarding the number of survivors who sought therapy, female survivors outnumbered male survivors by a ratio of 7:1, with different ratios for different age groups. As children age, their risk of being sexually assaulted for the first time decreases. Male children are more likely to be sexually abused at a younger age, whereas female children are more vulnerable to being assaulted at all ages, particularly in adolescence."

Note that methodology is important, this study covered people in therapy. It's entirely possible that those who were assaulted as boys are more likely to seek therapy than male victims in general. This limits the generalization of their data. The researchers go more into this in the discussion section of their paper.

It's wild to me how many men in my life were SAed as children and didn't even realize what happened to them. They would tell me about it as a "weird story" and how they "felt weird, but they were boys and boys are supposed to like women's attention."
