I think women are just projecting their insecurity onto men. They do follow celebs,openly talk to their friends(and even partner) about their crush. I guess they're just insecure that you have the same thoughts about women on tv as they have for men on TV

You don't need female validation to enjoy a show or anything else for that matter. At one point or another you have to enter a fuck-it mode if you want to live a decent life without perpetual constraints and limitations.

What a shame. When I traveled to Savannah on business, my young sons enjoyed a Moroccan restaurant that had a belly dancer. It still seems harmless to me.

A girl I dated in my early twenties lost her mind on me after I joked about drawing a nude model.

A) I’m an artist, when we draw a nude model it’s actually not sexual. It’s a study of the human form

B) It was a joke and a pretty innocuous one at that, which she acknowledged but chose to get angry over anyway

There's also the infamous scene in Thor: Love and Thunder, where Thor is stripped naked in front of a large crowd, including his female allies (and his love interest, who recently gained Thor's powers) - and instead of his allies protesting this revolting, sexually objectifying treatment, they go along with it and enjoy the view.

If the fem-Thor had been publicly stripped naked, there would be a bunch of outrage, both in-universe and IRL - but because it's a handsome muscleman, it's "perfectly fine". Ugh.

...Not quite the same thing as the OP, but along the same lines - it's "sexist" for men to enjoy sexy women these days, but women being able to enjoy sexy men is A-OK.

Well if it's cuties, then there's a problem. Other than that, it astounds me that even the women that want masculine men tut tut any showing of biological urges. I mean I can't even lightly smack my wife's butt without her finding it annoying, it ain't like I'm doing it hard or as punishment and I'd never do it to another woman I'm in a committed relationship but no no. Granted there are times I want to have her committed, but I'm sure she feels the same way about me sometimes. But I digress it's like saying hey here's this grizzly bear that I love but I'm going to keep it in a cage and muzzle it and chain it up so I can look and show it off to my friends. That's not loving the bear that's loving the idea of the bear.

Among other things, it is one of ways of diminishing male sexuality. Dances that have sexual suggestiveness and performed by straight men tend to be ridiculed - in American culture, at least. We have a cult of female body, preached by BOTH men AND women, but for some reason have no cult of male's.

I work with mostly women and we got a new (male) gym teacher. You should have heard them gushing about him on his first day. They were looking into the gym from the hallway.
