In an earlier post I submitted (seen here https://redd.it/6gdmou ), I asked other's opinions on the pro's and con's on using the word "date" when asking a girl to hang out.

2 Days ago I tested this out. Also, bear with me, this is my first kinda FR.

Little backstory, I'm an upcoming Freshman in college, which means I'm chilling in my hometown for 2 months until I go 4 hours away and not see anyone here ever again. Which is also my excuse to relentlessly hit up any girl I think is cute, and any girl I thought was out of my league in the past.

More Backstory

During middle school, it was my "weird kid who only shops at hot topic and covers one eye with flat-ironed hair" stage lmao. I was a major beta fgt. But to get on track, there was this solid cutie at the school. We'll call her Gabby. I always thought she was mad cute, but never really pursued her cuz, well, I was and still am a funny guy around my social circles, but I remember trying to talk to/make her laugh, and she just looked at me with a dead face and said

"You're so weird.."

Then she turned back around and laughed with her "popular girly friends" crowd, Like some shit off of Mean Girls. Major blow to my self esteem when it comes to "being myself", especially since everyone else says I'm funny lol. Also the fact I have a twin brother, We always got into trouble for having too much fun, our names spread around the school and everyone knew us basically for being those funny trouble makers. Soon word spread to the parents of my fellow students and We had half of the parents of the student body having a talk of "Honey, I don't want you getting involved with the BurntYams boy's" to their children lol. So that lead to Gabby's parents hating me, especially her dad. Whenever we'd have those Parent Teacher Conference's, I'd somehow cross paths with Gabby and her family in the hallway, and I'd lowkey catch a glimpse of Gabby, but then Her dad would always give me some weird stank face which read "Stay away from my daughter you hoodlum". SO ultimately, I just took all those signs as to not even try with this girl. After middle school ended and Highschool started up, she moved to a different high school and I never saw her for 4 years.

Fast Forward to Today

I've lurked on Seddit for awhile, absorbing this thing called "game" and learning. I've worked on myself/inner game, I'm confident, I got a lot more attractive thanks to valuing myself and working out. I have a nice little red sports car a sports bike. I definitely stood out from the crowd in Highschool. Basically major Glow-up when comparing myself in Middle School. I've also followed Gabby this whole time on Instagram (update, she's REALLY fucking cute now. SOLID HB12, no joke). She would occasionally like a picture of me every once in awhile, but for some reason I just never liked one of hers or looked at profile for whatever reason.

One Day I'm looking at the Stories on Instagram and I see Gabby's, I occasionally watch the stories there whenever I'm bored. But she has a post on her Story which says "someone HMU, I'm bored at this rink". I said fuck it. I brought up the message box and just when I was about to type a message, I froze. I thought to myself

"Should I really try this? (The goal then was to get her number and see what happens) Didn't she and her parents hate me in middle school?"

I mean, it wouldn't make sense even trying to get with a girl that hated me in the past. Right? Plus the 4 years of awkward silence. But then I thought of me leaving this town and never seeing anyone again. If I crash and burn on this attempt with this girl, what the fuck is she gonna do about it, I'm never seeing her again lol. So I sent a reply.

"You mean like an Ice Rink? lmao"

Anyways long conversation short, I said funny shit and she responded with,

"It's been a hot second since I've talked to you dude"

Boom, she's thinking about me and the last time we talked. I took that as she's interested. I took my shot.

"Yea, next time you're in town we should catch up"

"I'm down (happy relieved emoji)"

Oh shit. It's on. I set it up, So I made an excuse to leave the conversation and asked for her number to set something up. I got them digits. Score.

When Setting up the day to hangout, I didn't use the word "date" because tbh, dates are used when you know a girl is down to be with you, But in this case, I thought this girl who hated me just wanted to catch up, But my intentions were different, But I didn't want to freak her out incase she didn't feel the same. So I called it "catching up"

The "Date"

It's set up for Saturday. I'm HELLA nervous and over thinking because this goddess of a girl I've had a crush on for basically all my childhood who supposedly hated me is completely down to hang out with me/catch up. It's my time to showcase how much I've changed for the good and impress her after the only thing she remembers was a cringy hot topic kid from Middle school. Not gonna go through the WHOLE day, cuz it was a long one (For a good reason).

Long date short

She thought the time we spent together would be like 2 hours. It lasted 6 hours with various location changes varying from the local mall to beautiful nature spots around the area (she's never seen them before so she/ll definitely remember them, and me). After hours of charming her, making her laugh, and kino. I found out. She actually didn't hate me in middle school, she actually, (in her words)

"Loved Me", "You were so funny", "My parents actually just didn't like your twin, they were fine with you".

Lmao, definitely not How I remembered it but damn, what a change of perspective.

How the "date" went

I remember reading somewhere on Seddit,

"On the first date, Don't kiss her unless something tells you you should. On the Second date, Kiss her unless something tells you you shouldn't".

Now usually if I'm just looking to smash and dash a girl, I'd kiss her on the first date. But this girl was different, we connected, So I took it slow and followed that saying. Wanted to see where I'd go with this childhood crush of mine if I took a different route than the classic "Smash and Dash". Anyways, I used Kino to signal that I definitely don't want to be just a friend, and slight subtle hints. like we'd pass a Sandwich shop downtown and Since I didn't use the word date when I asked her out, I had to let my intentions known, So I pointed at the sandwhich shop and said,

"See that? The best sandwich shop run my two cute old ladies. The sandwiches are orgasmic (she died laughing). Next time I get you to myself, dinner date."

To which she responded, "dude, I'm so down".

fucking score. I Also used my Manual sports car as an excuse to touch and hold her hand by "teaching" her how to shift my gears while I drive. (Our fingers intertwined and had the shifter between our hands). I also had my hand gripping her inner thigh sometimes while driving down long stretches of road. She didn't mind at all.

All in all boys, My Theory was correct. Not using the word "date" is great for when a girl isnt interested in you (or atleast you think) and you're trying to get her to be interested in you. Cuz if she isn't interested in you at the start, calling it a "date" would throw her off, and you won't have a chance to seduce her. But by not using the word "date" and asking her to hangout, she'll be more willing to go out with you, which gives you a chance to strut your stuff. By not saying the word "date" when asking her out it relaxes her and relieves any pressure or oblijations off her, and gives out a more organic feel if things go your way. she'll be thinking, "It just happened", and after many times of being played by assholes, when something romantic "just happens" will feel amazing to her.

At the end, she literally said to me,

"This was the best time I've had with anyone in a long time".

Now she's definitely gonna remember me. Next time we get together, I'm calling it a date and Another FR if anyones down.

Hope this helps someone.
