I see your point about the subway, and I flirt with girls on my commuter train all the time. If they dont want to talk to me they make it pretty obvious. You need to get it where you can OP. And if the subway is your best bet why not try it instead of placing an artificial barrier on yourself?

Another suggestion is if there are no parties, then you throw the party. Ever hear of Bacchus?

Ultimately, you've gotta always look for situations where you will find more women. Not enough women at your school? Maybe consider going to a different Uni. Maybe try meeting women at museums, dance classes, extracurricular whatever.

You can tell me why you don't think any of my suggestions won't work, and I don't really care. Instead, think long and hard about how you can do something that both 1) You find interesting and 2) That has some women involved.

Sounds like your college is a lost cause if those statistics are correct. Find some good bars around you that have lots of women and approach there. Also, you should really work on getting over that fear of approaching on the train.

See if you have mixer events where chicks from other colleges go to meet guys. Or better yet just go to high chick count colleges and hang out on campus. If she asks tell her you have a friend that goes to her university.
