Ok guys. So I'm kind of a weird dude. I like spinning plates and all that, like you guys, but I also just have a weird personality. Because of this, I find it more difficult, I suppose, than most to meet girls that I can genuinely connect with on an intellectual level (see, most guys don't need intellectual stimulation in their relationships; I'm weird).

Now, tonight I went on a date with a girl I used to work with I'd rate her between a 7-8 not quite sure. Lets call her a 7.5 on average. Anyway, the date went very well, but going in I thought she would be just another plate. But as we got to talking more, I discovered that she is virtuous to near unicorn-like levels and more thoughtful than I had imagined-- two traits that are hugely important to me in an LTR.

But here is the problem. I'm 21, she is 19, I don't plan on sticking around locally, I am very ambitious and very school/career focused. So of course you think, as any rational person would, "sorry kid, sounds like it's not going to work out." And that is and excellently reasonable answer. I pride myself on keeping my emotions separate from my logical reasoning. My emotions have caught feelings probably thanks to the fact that I haven't had an actual girlfriend in 4 years.

Because of this, I am annoyed to say that I am craving the emotional outlet of an LTR. However, my brain knows that this is an absurd and wildly impractical prospect, and my "heart" is not listening to my much wiser brain. They simply don't communicate. Would anyone please offer any moral support? Thanks for hearing my bitch-story.
