Been lurking for about a month, made an account today to post this, here it goes. I hope this question is relevant and you guys can help.

Here's the situation plus a little background. I've been seeing her since February and exclusively since August. We're both seniors in college, not the same school, I go to a large state university, she goes to a small all female liberal arts college down the road. She isn't a feminist though, thank god. Her father is a high ranking member of the military and raised her right, but I digress. Other than what happened recently our relationship has been great, she's beautiful with a great body (captain of a NCAA sport team), lots of sex, great conversation, zero drama until this.

She's been very busy lately with graduate and law school applications on top of her regular course load and her sport, as a result friday night was the first time I had seen her in almost a week, I took her and one of her teammates to a semi-formal party my fraternity threw at a local country club. Lots of booze, dancing, and socializing etc. When we got home (both drunk) after fooling around a bit she shit tests me with this, "I feel guilty we haven't seen each other much lately, and that when we have I've been bitchy, I've been so busy and I'm so stressed out, wouldn't you rather date someone who goes to (my school) that you could see everyday?" I called her out and said "Are you testing me? I'm dating you and I'm perfectly fine with the way things are going, it's true we haven't seen each other as much as I would like recently, but that's because of your schedule and you being too busy is your problem not mine." To which she said "I wouldn't be fine if the situation was reversed" and I replied "well I understand that you filling out applications is only a temporary inconvenience, I'm sure things will go back to normal once you're done with them." I'm paraphrasing but that's the gist.

Since that conversation I've only talked to her on the phone (she had plans to see her grandparents out of state) but I've reiterated my initial response that us not spending much time together (which has only been for the past week or so keep in mind) is because of her commitments not mine (I don't have much obligations outside of class/gym). She brought up ending the relationship, because of the stress. I reiterated that the stress isn't because of the relationship it's because she's under pressure from other factors. I didn't show any emotion when she said this just matter-of-factly addressed it.

I'm not afraid of the relationship ending, I know there are other fish in the sea yadda yadda yadda, but I really like this girl and basically the only reason I'm with her exclusively is because she's a catch and I see a great post college future with her. But I think this is a pretty stupid reason for it to end, so obviously I don't want it to.

Sorry for the length, if this isn't trp relevant I apologize .
