I once lived a mile or so from a bar and would tell women, "I'd like to drink some more but not here. I've got a cool place and fridge full of beer if you're down." (if she was drinking something other than beer like Rum and coke I'd say something more like, "...I've got a cool place and a bar where the drinks are free.")

To be NEXT DOOR to a bar - that would be fun.

I would honestly just go in and chill at the bar for a drink. Don't act like an asshole because like someone else said then you'll be known as "that guy that lives next to the bar."

One way I could see it being advantageous is if you were hanging out with a girl and started getting more and more flirty you could have the convenience of going right next door to your place.

But I would definitely not mention that from the get-go, it will look and sound really weird if you mention it out of the blue.
