I've heard this 3 separate times now approaching a girl in a retail environment. I go up to the girl, introduce myself, start talking and then an employee comes over and asks "can I help you guys find anything?" It is clear to me that the underlying subtext behind it is "is this guy bothering you?"

It makes me feel shitty and pisses me off, like I'm always viewed as a threat just for having a penis. Granted I might seem nervous sometimes and need to work on my game but still, have you guys ever had this happen?
