I don't speak for everyone, but when I say AWALT, I mean that ALL women have the same instincts. But we are all products of our genetics and our environment.

Those instincts and impulses express differently in different women.

I remember this annoying little weasel I knew in college. He was a poet, of all things. But he was published every year, won awards, and was invited to give readings. I never saw him that he didn't have an HB 8 or 9 around him. He was: the Alpha Poet. The Big Poet on Campus.

Mind you, the cheerleaders didn't give a shit. But he tore it up with the Fine Arts majors.

So yeah, you can find intelligent, creative independent thinkers with whom you share interested, and it's great.

But if, at any time, the cavewoman in the back of her brain feels that she has access to a more intelligent, more creative independent thinker than you, you'll lose her to "falling out of love."

You basically got it - AWALT, it just varies by degree and type.

Hypergamy - e.g. a nerdy 'unicorn' might not fuck that NFL player at the bar, but she might with a pHD from MIT who is collected and is aloof as a motherfuck. FbordsnOrds post is on point

Regarding hypergamy, one of the reasons we focus so much on male looks is because the females we go after (the tens) are often conditioned to hold looks in high regard as that has been their focus - it doesn't meen that every girl wants a tall ripped dude, just most of the hot ones. Whether that is because they can get them or because there is such thing as a type is controversial IMO (see rollos post on domains and types - applies to females as well)

Doesn't matter what type she is really. Everyone, guys, girls, mothers, grand mothers, are drawn to alpha personalities. The girls you read about can be literally anyone, it doesn't matter, because when experiencing enough attraction anyone will be reduced to the base instincts, sex fun etc.

Even the liberal arts, natural beauty Mary Sues are attracted to the same qualities as anyone else, it can be a pretty harsh wake up, but attraction really isn't a choice, and under the right circumstances that particular Mary Sue will mail her soiled panties across the continent for a whiff of alpha penis.
