I’ve got a buddy of mine in his mid sixties. I’m in my late twenties. Tells me countless, countless stories of all the broads he’s bagged back in the day. He did insane shit like go up to girls and ask, “Wanna suck my dick?” with success. He’d also stare at a girl’s ass and say “Nice ass.”

He claims he’s slept with at least 200 women and lost count along the way. He’s got enough stories to make me think it’s true, but no one really knows. This is one of the most honest sons of bitches you’ll ever meet, and confrontation is a non-issue for him. Got into fist fights all the time. How he managed to become a cop, I’ll never know. He’s retired now.

Ever since my early twenties, I’ve been doing the same. Not as vulgar, no, but sometimes I am. If I’m hugging or dancing with a girl sometimes I’ll reach down to the top of her butt and say “Nice ass” and most of them just giggle. The majority of the times, though, is I’ll tell them how gorgeous they are, if they want to “come home with me now or later”, and other forward comments. They almost always laugh.

Confidence has skyrocketed. There must be something about being honest that rewires the brain. It takes a little bit of courage at first, but you’ll learn to put your words in alignment with your thoughts. The authenticity, the transparency, the truthfulness...it’s invigorating and fills you with energy. You’re no longer a slave to the facade. And as we all know, the mask is all too tiresome to carry around.

This doesn’t just apply to pickup. It applies to everything from confronting someone for talking shit, to letting your waiter know they got your order wrong, and telling your friend you’re not interested in helping him move because you’d rather stay at home. Some people will get offended, some will giggle, and others will want to whoop your ass. But guess what? They’ll all respect you.
