Kind of like the Mark Manson thing of girls wanting to sleep with the guy sleeping on friend’s couches.

I've always said that getting your life in order etc is great, but when it comes to getting laid, it's seemingly completely irrelevant in my experience. I know lots of guys who are practically virgins who have excellent jobs and 'have their shit in order' and probably even more friends who have ZERO going on (perma-unemployed, no driving licence, no ambition, etc etc) who seem to get laid like rockstars.

I have heard it mentioned on several subreddits, but if you are strictly online dating, then your going to start reprogramming yourself into a chasing mentality. Just the nature of how online dating is set up forces you into a roll of being the chaser/supporter type. I noticed this after a few months, I would literally feel depressed if I didn’t get a match ect. On a certain day. Go do yoga/salsa find local single meet ups. To supplement your online dating. You’ll stop taking it so seriously.

You feel like you're not cool anymore, and the chicks just follow your lead.

Break out the guitar and try to bring that passion back. They don't need to hear you play, but you do

Mostly been having a lot of dates not work out. I had one girl all excited to meet me. She hearted my comments on Bumble. We went for a great walk by the Golden Gate Bridge and got drinks. When we finished, she said “this was great!” We both wanted to go to the MOMA so I said I’d be in touch. She said “yeah, you should.” All bubbly and everything.

Then she text me “sorry for the bluntness, but it’s not the right fit.” Like she wanted to be blunt. Wanted to turn me down or something. I didn’t learn anything from it. Just confused. I feel like I’m not “in style” these days. Another friend who looks just like me is having the same issues. Confusing rejections lately. But I hate to blame the environment. I’d rather dix what’s not working.

I think you're worrying too much if you should be "mature" or "playful". Just do you, whatever you're feeling. You feeling playful? Then act that way.

Stop trying to fit their mold and what you think they want. What do YOU want? Do you want a girl who can be playful or one who is mature all the time.

My guess is your answer is somewhere in the middle. The same is true for most women. Most women want a guy who can be exciting but also ultimately has their shit together. It's not an either/or situation.

You can calibrate with each girl. Does she like it more when you are being mature or when you are playful? Do more of what she likes but also keep a balance of the 2. And also do more of what you feel at the current moment or that current period of your life. Do you feel that you want to be more mature or playful?
