Been reading this sub for a week or so trying to gear myself up to getting back out there and had my first approach today. No # close or anything but I'm glad I did it and wanted to share with you guys and see if you have any tips or suggestions.

On the walk to work this morning I was telling myself "If I see any cute girls I'm gonna approach and make my first steps towards learning daygame." I walked past a group of girls and made eye contact with the most attractive one, she smiled and I smiled, but I kept walking past. LIKE AN IDIOT. I got into the office and was beating myself up about it and eventually resolved that that's the last time I'm going to walk by a girl I'm attracted to and not at least say something.

So when I went out for lunch, the feeling from earlier had subsided by then, I walked past another group of girls and saw I liked one of them. But again I kept walking... then I got that feeling from earlier and remembered the promise I made to myself. So I turned around and walked back to the group, beelined straight for the girl and said something along the lines of "Excuse me, sorry to interrupt (they were all talking to each other), but I just had to say that I think you're gorgeous and wanted to know if you'd like to go out?" (Saying this while making strong eye contact)

She said she had a boyfriend so I smiled and said that's ok and wished her a good day.

I know I probably didn't word it right ( I didn't rehearse it except say 'gorgeous' and ask her out), or delivered it well, and I was definitely nervous I could hear the shakeyness in my voice. BUT I was just so glad I did it! The walk to lunch I was filled with adrenaline and so happy that I did it I didn't even care that I didn't get her number.

Here's to future progress, thanks guys
