..because it's easy to fall into the trap of "just need to get more toned / just need to beef up a bit more / just need a better barber / just need trendier clothes" when in reality i'm starting to feel like there is nothing that is really going to substitute for genuine masculine energy and CONFIDENCE, the latter of which, i finally realized, is the accepting of all aspects of you. i think this is a teaching of RSD too, they stress that the man makes the clothes, etc, and that the materialist side of it is realistically, yes, a component but relying on it exclusively is little boy's game.

the ladies have #bodypositivity going on, when i feel like guys are more and more pressured to have the ideal body or whatever. not that that's a victim card. it just means you are a weak minded man if you think the physical ideal alone is what makes you have worth. because as soon as your beautiful bod starts to fade or gets sabotaged by lifestyle choices, that as a masculine archetype is gone. where is your power REALLY? are you a slave and conformer to societal narrative that dictates to YOU what makes YOU have worth?

i feel mine comes from reverse psychology really, as the total hard case / wimp / pussy when i was growing up, i had limited sexual success, was bullied a lot, called a fairy and shit, and now i'm becoming a man and i feel the leverage to succeed is all the greater, and i will succeed if i harness it accordingly. RSD were right about another thing, and that's that when you're the underdog, there is a an even more powerful fire under your ass than the dudes who were getting laid since they were in high school, and you might even be able to surge ahead of the herd.
