Speak from your chest. Practicing dancing and exercise to become more aware of your body.

Slow. Your. Talking. Down. Think about the words you are saying and don’t just try to get the information out of your head and through your mouth.

Keep your hands out of your pockets and not nailed to your side. Don’t hold drinks in front of you. Take up space when sitting or even standing.

Stand up straight. This will help you project your voice and speak clearly as well. And it will make you taller.

Practice making and holding non aggressive contact with everyone you pass on the street. Don’t look at the ground when you walk.

Nothing in this game is quick, but here is my advice.For specific sticking points, if you list them I'll give targeted advice, but here is my overall thoughts.

If you have tons of time practice the Alexander method , there are a few books on it on amazon, here is the wikipedia entry explaining the Alexander method. Actors use this to seem more natural on screen. I like it a lot.

I agree with below, take dancing lessons (recommend salsa dancing), yoga, or a striking combat sport like kick boxing that focuses on movement. It will change your posture pretty quickly to a more upright and properly grounded posture.

Google search alpha m body language and work on your particular worse sticking points.

Impersonate the body language of 3 of your favorite confident characters. It can be something like Will Smith in Hitch to something as geeky to a boisterous anime character you like. Start deciding and identifying what confident and natural conversation traits you'd like to have look like in others. List a few of there traits in a note pad and go to a coffee shop, bar or meetup and practice them specifically.

For example, Tom cruise in mission impossible movies always speaks with certainty avoiding any words like I think, and maybe. He speaks directly and decisively after identifying that I would go and start conversations praticing that. Make it a game and have a targeted goal for how many interactions of each skill you want to practice.

At the end of the night, write it down in a notebook, why it worked, and how it made you feel. the idea is to identify the skill, decide how you can use the skill, practice and drill the skill, and then after its been drilled tons of time have the skill become natural and effortless through repetition.
