Your problem is validation. Your confidence was based off of the good experiences and those good experiences lead to you being more confident. This is normal

When you had those bad experiences, they messed with your head. This lead to other girls picking up on your body language (you may subconsciously giving off this vibe), making you less attractive to them.

Condition yourself to not be affected by validation. If she's interested, in your mind, that's "suppose to happen". If she's not interested, she doesn't get how cool you are and she needs more exposure to your coolness (don't hover around her if she's not interested, but let her seek you out).

Think of a good joke or a great movie that someone didn't get. Once you explain it, and they finally get it, the joke becomes funny to them or the movie is interesting all of a sudden.

I'm working on conditioning myself to not be swayed by a woman's response as a reflection of me. There are many reasons why a woman is not interested and sometimes it's actually something that goes in your favor:

Her: "I can't date him. He excites me. He's a bad boy. I just don't want him to break my heart"

She might just be having a shitty day:

Her: "I'm having a bad day. I just don't want to be bothered"

She has more important things to do other than talk with someone she doesn't:

Her: "I have to go visit my sick granny. I can't talk right now" (and she's actually telling the truth)

If you base your confidence off of not only women's opinions, but anyone's opinion of you, you wouldn't be able to function. People may hate you because you're cool and confident. People may love you because they can take advantage of you and use you.

Once the opinions of others doesn't make or break you, more and more women will become attracted to you.
