So, I just got done with a first date with some girl I met on Bumble. We got coffee in the morning and talked at the coffee shop. We talked for a while. It was nice. I asked her a lot of questions about her life, goals, hobbies, etc,.

I couldn’t really tell if she was into me though. And I’m not sure if I’m super into her but I think it’s worth going on another date with her.

I decided to cut it short. One reason being that I couldn’t vibe her out that well and didn’t want her to feel like she was being held verbally hostage. The second, I wanted to show her I have other things going on in my life that isn’t her. That I got places to be.

I tell her, “Well I got a meeting in an hour so I gotta get ready for that, so I should probably head out.” So we walk to the parking lot. I give her a hug and say, “It was nice meeting up with you.”

She says, “Yeah it was fun.”

Then I tell her goodbye and start to walk to my car. She turns and says, “Hey, and if you’re not doing anything later, I’m free.”

It was that simple. I think this is a good tactic to use. I think it’s good to have something in your head planned to do right after the date so 1. You have an out of it’s bad or don’t like her. And 2. It let’s her go if she’s not having a great time. And 3. To show you have other things going on besides her and make her want you a bit more and the scenario will probably workout in your favor.

Don’t chase! They will come to you. :)
