I am twenty two and grew up in the united kingdom from the age of 5, originally from eastern Europe. I have a normal english accent and I am wanting to anglicise my name. My name is not ordinary and is a common name in my home country.

I have conducted a lot of research and have found that individuals such as Bill clinton, Ralph Lauren and many more had changed their name for their own situational reasoning. Such as Ralph Lauren stating he used to get mocked at school for his original last name 'lashitz' and so on.

I do not really resonate with my home country despite my parents pressure. I would like to fully integrate as without this change I just do not feel part of British society. I feel like now would be the best time to incorporate this new name as I am only twenty two but am hesitant to pick the right name and certain feedback I have been receiving has made me question my initial decision to change my name. I essentially feel like a fraud if I change my name.

Does anyone have any advice as this is really having a negative effect on my frame. I have yet to make a final decision but have chosen a name that I feel resonates with my personality.

Up vote if possible, I really need some constructive opinions on perception of a name change and the general view on the topic.
