How about upscale supermarkets and coffee shops. You will definitely find men alone at those places.

Focus on places men “have” to go to...and the interaction is more casual...

First of all, i think its awesome you've decided to approach men. There needs to be more women like you lol.

Good places to approach - Places where guys are comfortable and aren't in a hurry like: electronics stores, hobby stores, book stores, coffee shops, grocery stores, music shows, trains/buses, the beach, clothing stores, farmers markets, dessert shops.

Personally, I think it would be really cool if a girl approached me while I was at a hobby shop. I'm somewhat of a nerd so knowing that a girl is also into the niche topics I'm into would be a huge plus.

Some words of advice:

Men are oftentimes oblivious to subtlety and it's rare occurrence that a woman would approach. They aren't expecting it and it is unlikely that they will pick up on any interest you might be signaling.

My advice is to be direct but not in a masculine way that is too forward or overbearing. I say this because I think some guys might be turned off if they feel like the woman is too used to approaching men. Because it's such a rare occurrence, being picked up by a woman might make them think she is promiscuous or that something else is wrong with her.

So say something shy or coy like like "Hey i know this is really random and i'm actually nervous about saying this... but I just wanted to tell you i think you're handsome (or have nice eyes, hair, or whatever else). Would it be weird if i gave you my number?" Then after he takes your number you could stick around and chat but I don't think thats necessary. Walking away would let him process what just happened because he's most likely gonna be in shock lol.

While he's processing, he's probably thinking several things that would make it very likely that he would contact you such as:

She is feminine and cute.
She must think I'm something special because she's willing to overcome nervousness and break social norms.
She doesn't do this to every cute guy she sees so I should appreciate it and take action.

So, when I visited Paris last year, thinking about where I went solo (as a man), I spent a lot of the summer afternoons in parks and wandering. Maybe it's different when you're travelling alone and want to meet people but honestly sometimes when I sat in the Luxembourg Gardens just having a drink or something, I would have been totally receptive to someone approaching me. If I recall correctly, many men were there in the park reading under the shade and often alone. Also too, just wandering alleys and streets, I found the pace of walking to be not as fast as in Canada and so try to step out of your comfort zone and talk to someone if they're walking your way!

It's interesting you also mention most people don't go to museums alone since it's my preferred way to do it also and I now think back - everyone was in a group or at least a couple! But, you never know, maybe you can find someone in a museum? I think sometimes it's better to stumble upon a man you're interested in by happenstance than going out like a "shark". What I mean is, I reckon it is better to focus on what YOU like to do and if someone catches your interest, just say hello! Also too, cafes are probably a great place as well. In general, no matter where you are in the world, you will always find people alone working on their laptops or reading, etc. Another one that comes to mind is book stores; you're bound to find someone there as well...or maybe I've seen too many romantic comedies.

I would also stay away from bars! Most guys go out with one thing in mind and so I don't believe you'd meet someone fantastic there unless of course, you're after one thing and one thing only but from your post, it seems you aren't.

but my advice to is take ur chances so don't limit ur options in cafes or meusem... so just take out ur mind that talking to people is weird just don't stop someone late for work lol personally If I see someone I'm attracted to walking I'll just go and compliment them (don't even need to stop them I can walk with them for 5mins till I get number or smt ofc if they're interested back), so I don't think someone would be upset from a compliment. Also now I'm guy so its the classic way but now that ur a girl makes it even special and enjoyable, I mean I imagine being stopped by some girl that find me attractive I'll say:" wait that doesn't happen everyday lol" and I'd be so happy! Anw I guess I over explained So just go for it girl ;) !!!!!!!

Hello! Woah thats really cool! I would love to give my point of view:

Approaching someone directly is a man's thing. If a woman would do it, it would be strange. Women are also approaching men but in a feminine, in a natural way. Like, asking for some lighter or asking if the guy can take a picture. I suggest you try out those things.

And also, it should be easy for a woman. If a woman asks a guy any random shit, he will get it. If he likes you too or if he is aware of whats going on, he will try to continue talking.

So, it is more like showing "Hey, I am here! If you want to get to know me, you need to take the lead now!".

Also it will be easier if you do it with a friend. Alone is possible, sure, but often harder.

Download meetup app and go to events to meet men of similar interests. That will be prefect for females, except that there are no events now, maybe? I don't agree that you should do "Mall game" . If you approach a guy at a mall the relationship would be on a wrong foundation...
