I'm trying to get into daygame. I've tried gradually desensitization, I've spent a bunch of time asking girls for directions and now I'm completely comfortable with that. However, I want to approach with direct intention but I find it really difficult. Asking for directions is not an emotional thing, but showing sexual interest and showing intent is, for me. I'm also concerned what other people around me might think about my attempt. I'd really like to be able to do it because I find it the most honest and authentic. I'm currently not very effective at stopping girls walking, I find girls standing around and waiting to be more easily approachable but they are often waiting for something, like the bus or a friend so there's a time constraint.

My usual daygame session goes either one of two ways:
1. I try to warm up and get in a social mood by asking for directions. After a while I want to approach direct but I keep thinking: "Okay, I'm going to ask for directions again because it's easier. The next one will be direct." In the end I do no direct approaches.
2. I don't wanna puss-out, I'm going to do direct approaches only. The result is I walk around for hours, lost in thought, eventually getting exhausted and I return home having approached zero girls.

I've done about 4 direct approaches in total but I walked around for 2-3 hours beforehand to muster up the courage.

I seem to be a bit ioi dependent, I approach much easier when a girl gives me a sign. But iois are hard to get on the street. I get lost of them on public transport but those venues are not easy to approach in: lots of people around who will keep listening to you not just walk away like on the street, crowded, hard to walk in since it's a moving vehicle.

I don't want to keep repeating this pattern so I'm asking for your advice about what I should change about my daygame. Thanks for the help :)
