I also went on a trip with a female friend and her friend and I hooked up with the friend. And she was even hotter than my friend.

Maybe your friend doesn’t think highly of you that’s why she tries to set you up with her ugly friend because quite frankly her hot friends don’t find you attractive.

The overall point is correct: we should be doing this sort of thing for ourselves. And having female friends who happen to be hot, is helpful.

Do not let the women hook you up themselves.

People who are interested, will usually be trying to hook themselves up with the guy they want.

If a girl wants to hook you up with her friend, she's not gonna hook you up with the hot one with the great body.

I get where you're coming from. Often girls are trying to find someone to pawn off such a friend to.

But girls also do work together to get guys: sometimes girls will divvy up different guys and help each other get their respective picks. It is a little less common granted, but presenting it as if girls would never try and hook you up with someone you'd find attractive, is taking it a little too far on the other direction.

And girls will certainly run interference for a girl to help her when she's made it clear to them that she's after a guy.

However, if they hook up the undesirable friend with an unattractive guy, and they hit it off, she will just see it as good match-making on her part.

If they actually find the guy attractive, they're not going to sit back and hook him up with their unattractive friend in the first place. They'll snatch the guy up.

And if a guy happens to be with a girl they consider unattractive, they won't consider it just a good match, they'll easily look for ways to undermine the match and separate the two.

The problem is that if the guy takes the unattractive girl to begin with, they'll often write him off as an attractive because he was willing to sell himself short.
