Is the phrase 'it just happened' a euphemism girls use to cause themselves to appear less promiscuous (given the bullshit double standards society still holds)?

I know that sexuality is natural, and there are times when you end up sleeping or kissing or dating or connecting with someone in a way that wasn't really planned for......but for me it's always felt very much like something that takes conscious decisions - to say this, to do this and so on in order to position myself in a certain way.

Maybe it feels natural the more you do it, but it's never felt inherently natural for me.

Issue is it can make the whole thing feel a bit fucking exhausting, especially if you've had a big week and you're not in the mood for being 'on point' all the time you're with a girl and just want to chill and be completely yourself - but when I'm being myself, although I can be quite charming I'm not forward or sexual or anything.

Is this a normal way to feel a as a guy in your opinion?
