Overthinking definitely fucks you up. If you think about a relationship too much it will mean the relationship has more significance in your mind than it does in reality, meaning you're likely to act weird or needy instead of normal.
Sometimes the reason you're overthinking is because you have an emotional need that is not getting fulfilled. If you're consistently overthinking things then you need to start soul searching, therapy, improving your mental health.

Now hold on lol. The downside to me coming out of a comfort zone and talking to a girl or asking her out is some normal rejection. Happens to the best of us. The potential bad outcome of me starting a company is bankruptcy. Not that that is an excuse to be paralyzed by fear, but it's a lot worse.

You have to practice to get good, don't let the outcome of the interaction affect you. Even if its "negative".

And how many years of "practice" do I need before women stop treating me like a subhuman because of my height?

What's your height?
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
1.73 m or 5'8 in burger units.

I mean I'm 5'8 and have had no issues. In my opinion those that make it a big deal aren't worth my time. Do you feel self conscious about your height?

I live in a place where 5'6 is the average female height. Every time I socialize, with men or women, people make fun of me even if I don't say anything about being self conscious. I've been ghosted by an online girlfriend, who said several times that she loved me, before our first date because I told her I'm 5'9. I've also had a chance to hook up with a girl but she constantly told me how I'm shorter than every other guy she was with and how it feels like I'm her little brother.

But you are self conscious, so people that you socialise with are going to pick up on that anyway. Stop obsessing over the few shallow women you've tried with. 5'8 is not an impossible height to get a girlfriend.

The thing is a lot of people understand they have to take action but just dont do it. So the question is how to actually get yourself moving.
