What do girls mean when they say they want a man thats confident?

It can mean a number of things depending on the person.

Some women like men who can Lead and Make decisions for them. Dictating how dates will go or dictating what they want.

Others like men who are confident in the sense that they stand by their beliefs or opinions and don’t always agree on topics.

And then there’s the silent type of confidence (testosterone being the vehicle) in how present yourself to women. How you walk, how you look, your tone of voice and body posture. All of these traits give off subliminal messages to a lady if you possess confidence or not and believe in yourself.

Ultimately confidence is about believing in everything you say and do and not bowing to others opinions or thoughts. It’s standing your ground no matter what, even if you end up losing the person.

Confidence is not about wanting everyone in the room to fall to your knees. It’s about knowing that you’ll be okay wether they do or not.

I don’t think they know what they’re talking about. They were probably told repeatedly to go for guys who are confident when they were younger and they’re just drinking the kool aid and looking for “confidence”.

Confidence isn’t necessarily the whole machismo take charge thing. When I say I want a confident man, I mean I want someone who isn’t clingy or needy. Don’t constantly ask me if everything is okay. Trust that I’ll tell you when things aren’t okay. Make decisions and stick with it. Own up to your mistakes and take responsibility. Confidence doesn’t mean a cocky asshole, cuz that will turn me right off!!

Confidence is when you're not needy, more or less. It means you're not looking for validation, you're comfortable with yourself as you are and you say what you want to say without being scared of what people might think of you.

Example, confidence is walking up to a girl at a party and starting to chat with her, letting her know you find her attractive or asking her to come dance with you. Without saying anything, just by your attitude, your smile and your actions, you tell her that you're confident that she'll like you, you're not scared what she or others around might think of you, and that if she rejects you, you won't take a blow to your ego, because you don't depend on validation from others to function. That's attractive, and sexy, because confident men take risks, are successful and generally fun to be around, because they can be themselves without filter, and in turn attract people that match them perfectly because of it.

It can also be something like speaking up on an issue you're passionate about, not because you want others around you to notice you, but because you believe in your opinion and firmly believe you have something to contribute.

Men that are confident won't hesitate to ask women out, or say what they really think, unlike men who lack confidence, who will be needy, insecure, validation seeking and deceptive in their intentions. And don't feel bad for being the latter, I used to be very much like that for the majority of my life, and I know many young men are. Becoming more confident in myself was the best thing I've ever done, but it's a gradual process, stay strong !
