Have any of you ever tried using the "The 36 Questions That Lead to Love" on a date?

No because I find girls get pretty annoyed when you give them a questionnaire during the middle of a date. In all seriousness though I believe this is one of those works in theory not in practice kind of situations. Do these questions make people feel closer and more intimate? Sure. Can you naturally slide all of these or even most into a conversation smoothly? I’m not so sure.

First dates should be fun, flirty, and not taken seriously.

Did this with a girl I dated, we would do it randomly through out our dates. We got to 32 and then stopped because it was too much commitment.

It works better on girls you’ve known for a bit but haven’t gotten to know / hooked up with yet, as something to do while you’re hanging out, but i wouldn’t try it on new girls or first dates.

Have tried it, would NOT recommend.

The problem with attempting this is that you cannot replicate the conditions of the study. The participants were independently put into an emotional situation with partners preselected to have good interpersonal chemistry, and they were told that the study was about getting close with their partner and enjoying themselves.

If you propose this to a date, the glaring issue is that you are creating the situation with the intent of getting your partner to fall in love with you. While it might get you laid, because it genuinely does facilitate closeness, the whole premise of proposing this questionnaire telegraphs your intent to emotionally force an outcome.

Playing this runs the high risk of undermining her trust in you and telegraphing a perceived motive to manipulate her.
