M23. For the first time I send a DM to a girl I was interested.

I always knew that just starting contact with someone you are interest out of the blue could work, but never considered it a possibily since I live in a small town (25k people) and we kinda know everyone, so it's not like you are never meeting that person again to just forget about it if it doesn't work.

But, recently went to the beach and me and my buddies posted a nice photo there (obviously shirtless, I also have a very nice phisique of 8 years going to the gym). After like 5 days while I was still there, a girl followed me and liked that photo. I've tried following her like 6 months ago, and she didn't follow back, but then I thought that she saw the photo through one of my friends stories and decided to follow me and like the photo because she was at least a bit interested.

Well, skip one month and I finally decided to stop being a pussy, and just straight up dm her to see if it would go anywhere. She didn't answer, just "seen". Later that night (last saturday) I went to a local club, and there she was with a friend. I managed to look at her at the same time that she was talking to her friend and looking at me, probably saying something like "that's the guy that I was talking about".

I was thinking I would feel down, but I felt nothing, maybe proud of myself, for overcoming a fear. I'm a nice looking guy, have my shit together, don't have a bad reputation around woman (as far as I know), and didn't say anything creepy or overstepped her boundaries, so there's not reason for me to be worried.

So yeah, definatelly gonna stop "waiting for the right moment", or overthink every little interaction that I have. I'm not planning to wake up in the middle of the night to text girls, but I ain't fooling around anymore. If it works, great, if it doesn't so be it.
