Flip "approaching" around and call it "socialising". So socialise more, this includes starting conversations with men and older women too. Chat to people at the bus stop, coffee shop, the person sitting next to you on the park bench etc.

Just socialise which obviously is a legitimate thing to do and when socialising with women you're attracted to flirt with them if it seems appropriate.

If you OP do game yourself show him so he has “proof not promises” as RSD would put it that it’s ok to approach.

We all know that the only way to overcome approach anxiety is to do the fucking approaches, no video, no book, no post will ever move your ass for you.

If he doesn’t want to do cold approaches and you are trying to get him into it don’t .
You don’t choose this shit, this shit chooses you so if he didn’t ask you himself tips on how to approach, he’s not ready.

The term "approach" is dogshit and suggests that you're stalking some kind of prey. One of the worst things to come of PUA type communities.

Is it weird to go up to a stranger, male or female, and make small talk? Not at all, people socialize in public all the time. If after making some flirty small talk, you realize you want to see this person again, how do you do that? You ask for their number/IG/snap.

When I really came out of my shell dating-wise, I just started talking to everyone. There was no "approaching." People were around, I had things to talk about, if it was a cute girl who seemed to reciprocate my interest, I'd ask for her number.

Frame it that way and I promise he'll feel better and more normal talking to women and see plenty more success.

Ask him what's embarassing or shameful about doing it. Ask if he's ever asked his family their opinions on it, and what did they think about it.

Ask what about it scares him. Rejections? Negative reactions? And just go over each scenario, and determine what's the worst thing that can happen.

I don't know if you approach during the day but you should have him come hang out with you, and just do a few approaches in front of him. Your friend doesn't have to approach, just let him see you get different reactions (positive and negative) from women and show him it's not a big deal, and no one around cares. He might end up convincing himself to try it.

That's something I suffer with as well. Especially not letting family know about it. It's probably because we've grown up in female dominated households where Men chasing women was looked very down upon. People are also shamed for their sexuality in my culture so that has added another layer to it.
