Hypergamy according to the definition of the wikipedia is marrying up in regards to social status or sexual capital.

It is a widely accepted term in the field of evolutionary psychology and a subject of focus for prominent professors like Dr David Buss

Your misunderstanding is where the term is simply descriptive of mating behaviour (particularly of women) as opposed to being prescriptive. Even rollo tomassi says as much (prominent red pill youtuber)

You argued for how hypergamy drives health and long term learning, however the facts are that women simply select the winners as opposed to people working there way up.

Here is some data points supporting my hypothesis:

1.There is research that worsening health, job loss are risk factors for divorce. 2. Women intiate divorce like 70% of the time.

I would actually argue that female hypgergamy is actually very damaging to male society.

It is almost akin to how male deer suffer from bone density degeneration, become weak and die from it because female deer have sexually selected large horns as a mating display, and mating displays by nature are wasting resources to signal an alleged excess of resources without inherent function.

Look at how men are now getting shin surgeries to put metal rods in them to look taller, expending lavish amounts taking women out, getting into excessive college debt and pursuing higher education in areas which are getting taken by AI and wont pick men due to diversity hiring anyway.

That is what it all comes down to for women, competition of various status games and that is why self-improvement for the purpose of attracting mates is a zero sum strategy.

TLDR: Your critique doesn't hold as the term isn't designed for creating disillusionment, men are getting disillusioned from realising the truth that this term describes.

This term doesn't distort reality but describes it.

Hypergamy is a thing, for both men and women. Women do it sexually, men relationally. It isn't black and white because some women are ugly af and a lot of men have no relationship value, but it's a thing. You can try to outrun some biological things, but hypergamy isn't one of them.

That money, although important, only makes you a cuck while looksnis what keeps you as a primary value in the market, and not as a financial value to be exploited by a woman.

If women control the sexual market, We should ask ourselves if human nature, inter and intrasexual competition, is healthy and IF THE FREEDOM OF WOMEN IS HEALTHY IN ITSELF.

Any rational person would accept that women have the same right to freedom as man, and only through the understanding that women are free will we understand that in freedom, the majority of women prefer to be alone and not reproduce with the majority of men, or use them momentarily.

Hypergamy is the practice of women marrying up, either into a higher cast or simply marrying someone of a higher socioeconomic status, which is common to most cultures. In contrast to toxic masculinity, it’s not a loaded term and therefore not healthy or unhealthy, it’s just descriptive.
