God that entire thread makes me want to vomit.. the misogyny radiating from these radfems who claim to care about women is horrific.
I hope you can know I think you're a pretty great person advocating for womens and mens rights and calling out sexism when you see it. I dont agree with everything you post but my God its not like I diminish a subreddit you created because of that like so many radfems do in that thread.. I think that subreddit is great for the people who need it, its a shame radfems diminish the benefits because they think you're somehow misogynistic for hating sexism..
I hope you're staying safe and healthy
Edit: several of the women commenting have zero problem endorsing a genocide but draw the line at someone hating misandry? Fucking ironic. Who would've guessed, radfems don't give a shit about women being carpet bombed and mutilated. Who would've guessed radfems don't give a shit about women unless they can weaponize womens trauma against men. :/

Thank you :)

Yeah, I think that was quite expected. Some of these are REALLY unsufferable.
I think you're doing great work in here, and I thank you for it. And I also don't think you're doing anything misogynistic.
It's quite ironic that you calling out misandry is called misogyny. Like, for these assholes, somehow misandry is women's baseline...

If nobody has anything bad to say about you, then you aren't doing anything meaningful (and chances are that nobody has anything particularly good to say about you either). Because you actually stand for meaningful things, you will incur costs like this; they are worth it.

Don't let them get you down, you are doing a lot of good and it's deeply appreciated, by many people in this community.

Yes- and genuinely that bra-free subreddit is not supposed to be sexual or toxic in any way… I’m razorfree, and also mostly bra-free (hate the texture), so decided to have a community of like minded people….but apparently me saying misandry exists and that men are human, makes me a bad person

Omg I read then comments.
They are so mentally ill in there. Are there people actually like this in real life?
I know what I would do with them -
[–]Tevorino 8 points9 points10 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes, they exist in real life, and the best thing to do with them is to screen them out of one's life. Otherwise, they will waste one's time and energy, and possibly do much worse than that (e.g. make false accusations).

I've seen nothing but kindness and thoughtful comments from you. Radicals can hug a cactus for all I care, their toxic opinion about you doesn't matter.

I think one problem you are encountering is that not everyone rejects bras, makeup, and shaving because of simple personal preference. Many people do it to make some kind of statement, or to signal their worthiness to some kind of political tribe (e.g. radical feminists), and you are going to attract a disproportionate number of those people when you advertise these communities.
It's a lot like how some atheists hold that belief (or lack of belief) for purely philosophical reasons, while some others are clearly trying to signal something, piss off their families, etc. Those two categories can be distinguished from each other quite quickly through short conversations. Similarly, most religions can have their adherents divided into those who seriously believe in it, and those who go along with it for other reasons, and there is usually a very noticeable difference in how they behave.

I cant say I’m razor- or bra-free, so idk if I’d fit in, but I wholeheartedly respect you calling out misandry. 😊👏💪

A lot of those comments were flat out, infuriating.

Someone called the use of the word “ladies” problematic, saying “it’s 2024”. 🤦♀️ I see no issue with the word as long as it’s used respectfully.

I swear, people will get offended by anything!
On a semi-relevant note, I do understand being bothered by the use of "females" instead of "women". I wouldn't say it's sexist so much as it is just weird and cringy.

Thank you for saying these kind things of yours in the comments. It's often difficult to live with the trauma as a male victim when you have to experience discrimination that borders on hatred. You're setting a really great example by actually practicing what you preach and treating both sides fairly. If you're interested, I started r/5thWaveFeminism specifically to address these kind of gender issues without having to shame or blame each other. Feel free to support it
