You can't really do that because Child Support is an obligation from Parent to Child, not Ex spouse to Ex spouse, even though it is paid from ex spouse to ex spouse.

Like someone else mentioned, there are a few ways to change your CS Obligation, as based on the calculator.

Go for as much custody / parenting time as you can.

Claim other children you have, in the "Children not from this relationship".

Pay other expenses such as the health insurance or child care.

Not sure what you're asking. Generally you have to pay the full amount of child support that is ordered and cannot offset it with other payments you make unless it's in the decree. If you're looking for ways to improve your personal finances to offset the impact of child support, i'd look at it it like any other obligation - the easiest legitimate way to do it is to set up a business where you can claim expenses. The problem is that you need to have a business.

For other ways to up your income, do whatever you want but just know there's a risk.

Not exactly what you're looking for. I got a little raise, and that helped. but the big difference is I plugged the hole in my [was our] savings account. So my net savings rate and progress toward larger goals is about the same, even tho I added that significant extra expense.

I'm interested in your other responses, tho, I'd like to pick up the pace a little. Also a new car would be nice.
