I was thinking about my stance toward age gaps and how on the internet when I come across men talking about age gaps I feel visceral disgust. However, in real life when I come across people in age gap relationships or even hear about an age gap couple I feel nothing but goodwill towards them. That got me thinking that it isn’t the age gap that caused the disgust, but the way in which men on the internet talk about older and younger woman. I’m not here to say older woman are as attractive as younger woman. I personally don’t believe that, but many redpill men are adamant that woman over a certain age are not attractive point blank and that men are only with older women because they have no choice. However, I don’t think a relationship is sustainable with that viewpoint about women and seeing this leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Sometimes when I see comments taking about age gaps and younger and older woman, I think to myself, why don’t you just dump your poor girlfriend so she can find someone who will appreciate her in ten years?

As a young woman myself, I feel like I would be open to a relationship with an older man if we vibbed well, but if I ever heard him talking about woman over thirty “hitting a wall” and insulting a woman’s age I’d be out of there so fast. When men think like this it’s like they don’t even see women as a full human being and just want her body and youth.

That’s what I think is different in seeing age gap relationships in real life. That sort of anti-aging sentiment is not there, they just happen to be an age gap couple. They are in the relationship despite the age difference and not because of it. In a way it’s romantic because of all the hurdles and judgment they face and yet they still preservere. Besides, it seems like these men are gonna be just as attracted and in love with their younger wives at age 30, 40, 50, and 60. I don’t think the sentiment of many of the redpill men in the sub is in line with building a relationship with a younger woman because of their dislike of older woman.

If I was in a relationship with an older man and he started talking about older woman being unattractive, I’d be like okay…what about me in several year? Even the blaring dislike of the 35 year old single mother is a red flag in my opinion. Like fine, you don’t have to date her that’s not a problem, but why so vitriolic? It just comes across as mean.
