So I'm (30M) began dating this girl (28F) a month and a half ago. We met up, had amazing chemistry for 3 weeks, then she went back to her hometown.

Chemistry was off the charts, love was high, sex was amazing, and we kept a very good relationship on text and calls. Texts and conversations were highly sexual and she was open completely. We planned various trips to meet each other.

At the beginning of these trips, she took a detour and went to visit some friends on another city. She met up with her ex in this city. They were together for 1.5 years. She told me about this openly.

We met up afterwards and I noticed she was cold physically, but very loving and affectionate.

She tells me she doesnt know why sex isnt working anymore. She is not feeling it. She is not being rude or unloving, she is just not feeling that spark we had at the start.

We havent had a chance to truly go on a date since we've been travelling, working and with friends. This might be having an effect.

Also, she might have gotten too comfortable with me, and needs "the chase" we had at the start.

Of course, seeing her ex changed something. I have few months of meeting her, so we are not exclusive.

I'm a bit lost at this point. I am looking to continue the relationship and get exclusive (as bf/gf) in about 3 months, but this is an obstacle I cannot find a resolution.

We have a trip planned to celebrate "2 months together" (her words) and another in 4 months

I can either keep going and make things work, or distance myself for a while, show her that seeing her ex was not a good idea, and focus on me.

I'm not sure if this will backfire, as she can easily find comfort in her ex, instead of "missing me". I can also come off as egotistical and childish.

Id love any guidance and opinions on the topic, and would gladly share more info.
