Ever since I (24M) can remember I always struggled with low self esteem & confidence. There are sometimes where I feel attractive but usually that feeling doesn’t last and makes insecure and all.

A couple of weeks ago I went to a party where I met a gay couple, we got along since I’m very outgoing and respectful towards everyone. My friends, the couple and I decided to order a bottle of tequila and we were having a great time. Until one of the guys apparently had too much to drink and started hitting on me heavily. He called me all types of names (sweetie, cutie, testicles of gold, etc…). I got so uncomfortable when he started getting physical. Long story short this guy was hitting on me to the point where I just felt harassed.

On the other hand, whenever I go out and I try to hit on girls they enjoy my company but it’s always the same thing “you’re too sweet” “everyone would be lucky to have someone like you” and I’m never able to escalate my game nor get some action. This is low key depressing when everyone likes being with you but at the same time nobody wants to have a little fun.

I was in a long term relationship that lasted 5 years, she cheated and left me for the AP. This of course took a big hit at my confidence level.

Is it because I’m ugly? Is there something wrong with me? Could you please share your opinion on this matter and how can I successfully hit on girls?

Cheers!
