Actually, girls don't outperform boys in school or behave better. They just get special treatment for the same behaviors/academic abilities or worse. They are treated like an older child's younger sibling

Findings indicated that females who perceive social skills as more important had higher grade point averages (GPAs), higher attendance rates, and fewer disciplinary problems than their male counterparts. Conversely, females who perceive social skills as of lesser importance have lower GPAs, poorer attendance, and more disciplinary referrals than their male counterparts.

Basically the study found that social skills are less important for boys than girls. Assuming this is replicable, social skill based programs would help girl's grades more than boy's.

This is actually a very important study. I have a degree in education and regularly teach although I'm going to med school. Based on my experiences in a variety of grades, girls behavior is, on average, worse than the boys. The boys who misbehave usually do so in a way that disrupts the class so it seems worse. But is talking too loud really worse than making TikTok videos that feature you and two other girls twerking? I kid you not. Every. Single. Class. Has this happen. Boys are generally more respectful if asked to calm it down. Girls on the other hand can get severely bitchy and out of hand. In my experiences, I've dealt with more behavior issues from girls. I'm also a young male. These behaviors have most recently included sexual harassment by a group of 5th grade girls. And think boys fight more? HAH.

Girls are a blessing to teach though. Same with boys! SO much potential in our young children. However the idea of boys being the problem kids is nonsense and I've seen the reverse MANY times.

I have heard multiple teachers, including my wife, openly say that girls are far more likely to engage in bad behavior, including violence (!) than boys in almost all grades.

[+]PNWbingopj 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I had my son called out for “bad behavior” by simply talking to a peer in class. My other son was repeatedly harassed by a female student that accused him of being homophobic while he is the opposite. I had to PRESS HARD on the administration to stop it as they seemed to take it very casually. Had it been the same against a girl I feel the reaction would have been better. No proof, but I felt dismissed, like a boy should be able to take it. It was very hard on my son and was not okay!

Race specific bitchy girls huh? What race? Why say it and not say it?

[–]Ancient_Cry_7995 6 points7 points8 points 1 year ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I just started going back to school for a third degree, and yeah, the women do all the disruptions and get in the way of the learning process.

[–]DO-Kagome 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Been in higher education for 10 years straight now (med student). Most women were fine but the only disruptions in class in my undergrad were women. Can't think of a single instance of men disrupting the class; however, I can think of many instances where women did.

[+]PNWbingopj 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I’ve been out of university for decades and don’t recall males or females causing disruptions then. What is happening now?

[–]DO-Kagome 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's not super prevalent but a lot of the issue came in Organic Chemistry where the a group of girls would be loud asf and complain/disrupt and not take it seriously non stop. I can't say it's common but the few times in classed that it did, it was all from the women

[+]PNWbingopj 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That’s absolutely not okay and should be shut down by the professor. If they don’t feel that they can that is a problem.

I graduated from university in 1997 and that would have never been allowed.

How?

[–]Financial_Loan1337 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Take 2 students: 1 female, 1 male. The chances are than the male will have to work and miss some of the classes while the female will be supported by parents. However, the male can still learn to get a similar score in the exams as the female one but because he has more than 25% unattended classes he is not allowed to enter the exam. In the 2nd try even if he "scores" 10/10, in most of the cases, the profesor will mark it with 5-7 because "it's not fair to get same or higher grade than the students admited in the ge first trial". Then, after graduation a lot of companies will get the internships to the higher grader students, in this case probably females. So, even if the male might have same or even higher level of knowledge, he will start in career at a disadvantage. Not to say about the discriminatory programs such as "womens in engineering" bs or females quotas. Then they complain about males having privileges...

This right here. Boys are not pushed by parents to be orderly which makes them turn work in less. Turning in work is NOT part of the quality of work and shouldn't affect the grade. There are other ways of getting kids to turn in work - taking away points is not one of them and one thing I never do. Talking to their coach or other teachers they like makes a HUGE difference.

In reality, the average high school boy has a 3.0 gpa and girls a 3.2. That's like a boy getting an 83% while a girl gets an 85%. The gap is quite small and explainable by teacher bias. Look at standardized tests scores. Indiana IREAD shows on average boys outperform girls in every subject grades 3-12 besides reading. Math, science, social studies goes to the boys. Reading is easily explainable by the fact parents and society do not encourage boys to read BUT the gap is narrowing according.

There's a claim that boys are struggling. I promise you, they are not. However they ARE being held back by schools and teachers from reaching their full potential. This study shows men gain nearly 80% of the most lucrative degrees. Men know what they're doing. They always have. They built this world and they'll continue to do so. We've fought and survived countless wars. We will continue to find a way.

The professor who led the study is the head of the university's DEI program

https://socialwork.illinois.edu/news/tan-named-associate-dean-for-adei/

I wonder if there's maybe some in-built bias in this study to favor devoting more resources to females.

This is not a “mens rights” page, this is a coded hate page against women. If you all were getting the women you wanted you wouldn’t be here crying and coping over fake stories. Maybe love the women in your life and they will treat you the same.

[–]Remarkable-Rate-9688[S] 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

Weather it is or not, unfortunately it's quiet true. Bottom line is girls get away with a lot more mischief than boys while boys get in more trouble for the same behaviour and that leads to the stereotype that boys are rowdy while girls are compliant even tho that's not necessarily true Girls are also unfairly graded higher despite boys having the same academic ability or better which is another reason why the performance of girls outperforming boys is exaggerated. So yeah

Anyone with a brain knows feminism is about equality not women being treated better than men. You all need to get a clue on what feminism even means before you go spirally down some woman hating rabbit hole. You seem young, but some advice here: if you are a good person you will attract good people who treat you well. You can cherry pick any small example of “inequality” and extrapolate that to “prove” any point. Treat women as equals and you will be treated the same. Very simple. If you think joining groups like this will help you, you are wrong.

[–]Remarkable-Rate-9688[S] 3 points4 points5 points 1 year ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Equality? How? By giving women more than men? Spoiling them? Women aren't held accountable for their mistakes, get away with the crimes etc.

[–]lordDandas 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Bwahahaha, hey I'll try it. There's an inherent benefit to being a Good person because it makes other people realize they are bad people. I Love women in my life and I am punished by them for it severely. And I encourage all men to take your advice because once all mysoginy will be gone, you will have no excuse for your mistreatment of them. I hate mysoginy and opression and it doesn't make women like me any more. Still I hate it because I have strong principles.

A soul is like a mirror. If it's pure, people will see their own evil face in it. If it's tainted, like mysoginist's, they'll see nothing. Mysoginists are protecting you from your own filth, once they all are gone, you'll have no choice but to face it.

That sounds like you have a personal issue with women in your life that has nothing to do with the gender at large. I suggest you work on yourself and those relationships and not spend your time smoking copium on the internet. Get well soon.

[–]lordDandas 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Ah, it is too similar to the experiences other men had with women to be personal. I can work on myself but I can only thank my immediate surroundings for my success. If my situation was worse, I don´t think I could get out of it without support. Of course, this is not solely the fault of women, but they also didn´t support me in any way despite my ideological allignment. Except for older women, those helped me a lot. I know that I can seek help from fellow men but I still expected a little more sympathy from women given my allignment. It is sad because I do want to help you. I wish you Good Luck cause... I don´t think you know how bad it has gotten. Also, thanks.
