Went to a club for the first time, the event was mostly gay guys, women with partners, or single women. (It's not exclusive or anything, they were having a theme night where the audience just happened to be like this)

I was making the eyes at this gorgeous short blonde and after a while she approached me. She asked if I was having a nice time and told me she was with her friend whose birthday it was. I made gentle contact with her arm while we were talking, which she didn't seem to mind.

She then told me that it's rare to see single straight guys at this venue. My response was pathetic (I asked how she knew I was straight). She then told me to have a good night and I dittoed.

I tried circling to where she was but I didn't want to say anything cause I thought the moment had passed, the night ended and don't get me wrong, I still had a major confidence boost just from having her approach me but I've woken up today thinking, "What did I do wrong?"

Am I reading too much into it? Did she just want a friendly convo and that's it? I feel like I should have asked her to dance with me at least...
