The HR lady, who proudly claimed that women are 50% of the personnel chose to ignore the elephants.

I was given today a corporate presentation from the HR Lady. She proudly declared that Women are 50% of the management level on a separate slide. Sounds good in theory.

Just two small elephants:

1. the majority of the workers in the factory are male and work in shifts
   
2. the HR department has 8 employees of which 1 is male

I just kept my mouth shut.

But it's ridiculous to use this 50-50 metric to prove that there is no discrimination.
