Edit for context: women have been “the weaker sex that needs to be protected” for so long, that men are just expected to “man up”, while women can always gain society’s sympathy, despite the changes in the culture over the last few decades. It sucks, but as men we’re just expected to deal with it. Use it as fuel to get in the gym and get your money up. Good luck.
